Sol is a Senior Associate in our Projects group.

His practice focusses on international capital markets and financings of large power and other infrastructure projects, acquisitions, divestitures and corporate joint ventures.

Sol has extensive experience in advising clients on the development, financing, acquisition and disposition of renewable energy projects, such as solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, hydrogen and carbon capture, with an emphasis on tax.

He has particular expertise on tax equity transactions to monetise tax credits such as investment tax credits (ITC) and production tax credits (PTC) and other tax incentives available for renewable energy projects in the US.

Sol previously practiced in the Washington DC office of another leading international firm.

Sol is qualified to practice law in New York and the District of Columbia.

He is fluent in English and Korean.

  • Advising Matrix Renewables in the purchase of two solar plus battery storage projects in California from Canadian Solar.
  • Advising Macquarie Capital in the debt and tax equity financing for a 200-MW solar project in Texas.
