Russell is a Partner in the Energy group.

Russell advises on the development, financing, sale and purchase of energy businesses, infrastructure and resources, with a particular focus on upstream, midstream and downstream oil, gas and LNG.

He has acted as project counsel on the development and financing of multiple land-based and floating LNG export and receiving terminals and regularly advises on LNG sales, trading and shipping. He also advises on the development and financing of power generation and transmission, petrochemical and other downstream infrastructure.

Russell acts as counsel to both buyers and sellers on substantial sales of exploration and production (E&P), midstream and downstream assets and companies. He regularly advises on the development, financing and operation of oil and gas production sharing contracts (PSCs), licences and other concessions.
