Maira is a Partner in the Project & Structured Finance Group.
Maira specialises in regulation, mergers & acquisitions and project finance within the energy sector.
She has extensive experience in the Greek energy market and related regulations, environmental law and land rights, as well as advising on corporate structures and corporate governance.
Since joining the firm in 2007, she has worked on numerous complex share sale and acquisition transactions in the Greek energy and infrastructure sectors, as well as in privatisations.
Maira is ranked in Band 3 for Energy (Greece) by Chambers & Partners Europe. She is also recognised by Legal 500 EMEA and by IFLR1000 for her expertise in the Greek energy market. She is noted for her strength in the renewable energy sector and regarded as a regulatory expert.
- Advising Impax Asset Management Group Plc. on a solar PV joint venture with WATT+VOLT.
- Advising Valorem Group on the project contract negotiation and debt financing of the 27 MW Magoula wind farm project in Kozani, Greece owned by its subsidiary Anatoliko Askio-Magoula SMSA.
- Advising the beneficial owners of construction company Cantreva SA, on their sale of 75% of the shares of Unagi S.A. to Motor Oil Renewable Energy.
- Advising Eurobank on €315M 560MW Greek Solar Project Financing.
- Advising Attica Bank on €63M 41MW Greek wind farm project financing.
- Advising Blue Elephant Energy AG, on the acquisition of operational solar parks in Greece with a total capacity of 45 MWp from ABO Wind AG.
- Advising Cubico Sustainable Investments on its acquisition of K-Wind Kitheronas Energy S.A., which owns and operates the 21 MW Kitheronas onshore wind farm in central Greece, from Intracom Holdings S.A.
- Acting for WPD in the sale of its interests in two Greek companies, each owning an approximately 5 MW photovoltaic generation project, to Enel Green Power Hellas SA.
- Acting for a subsidiary of EDF EN Greece on the Greek bond loan refinancing of two 24 MW capacity onshore operating wind farms in Fokida and Viotia with Eurobank Ergasias SA as agent and arranger.
- Advising Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund on drafting the contract for the €915m sale of the entire shareholding of Hellinikon S.A., the company holding the development rights to the six million m2 former Athens airport site.
- Advising Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund on the sale and lease back of 28 state buildings with a sale value of €261m.
