Justin is a Senior Registered Foreign Lawyer (New York) in the Projects group.
Justin brings a diverse background spanning leading PRC and international law firms, as well as in-house roles as Senior Legal Counsel at global multinational corporations. He specialises in providing end-to-end legal support to Chinese enterprises investing overseas, as well as multinational companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions, asset disposals and joint venture projects in China.
- Representing Blackstone and other U.S. private equity firms in both buy-side and sell-side transactions, including mergers and acquisitions and joint venture investments in the Asia-Pacific region.
- Advising international companies on investments and general corporate matters in China across the industries of manufacturing, life sciences equipment, food and beverage, apparel and professional services.
- Functioning as the business line lawyer for the Amazon Web Services Professional Services division of AWS Greater China legal team (covering mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan).
- Leading Temu's U.S. legal team and outside counsel (in U.S. and China offices) in litigation and compliance practice, including antitrust litigation, intellectual property litigation, class action defense and U.S. compliance matters.
- Advising on UN compliance (UN Security Council sanctions lists) and US compliance (US Treasury Department SDN sanctions lists and US Department of Commerce export controls) for the overseas export operations of leading Chinese enterprises.
