Jun Irie

Jun is an Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance group.
Jun is a licensed Japanese lawyer (Bengoshi).
Prior to joining WFW, he worked for seven and a half years as an in-house counsel at the Legal Department of one of the largest Japanese trading conglomerates (Sogoshosha), where he had extensive experience in cross-border corporate and M&A, project, and dispute matters across various business sectors including airport, automotive, aviation, defence, coal, energy (conventional and renewables), EPC, maritime, metals, power, rail, and real estate. He also completed a secondment to the legal team at its Singapore office.
Jun is fluent in both Japanese and English.

- Advising on the partial sell-down of 1,730MW gas power plant in Saudi Arabia.
- Advising on a divestment of 140 MW solar project in Japan.
- Advising the million acquisition of minority interest in LNG project in Australia.
- Advising the acquisition of 100% interest in coal mine in Australia.
- Advising on the 1,600MW CCGT IPP project in Uzbekistan.
- Advising on the construction project of Jakarta mass rapid transportation in Indonesia.
