Joey is a SENIOR Associate in the Assets and Structured Finance group.
Joey specialises in asset finance, particularly in the shipping sector. She regularly acts for leasing houses, banks and other financial institutions in various cross-border leasing and financing transactions within the shipping sector. She also has experience in advising on loan restructurings and sale and purchase transactions.
Prior to joining the firm, Joey worked in a leading Hong Kong law firm where she gained experience in general banking and regulatory compliance.
She is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Advising Jiangsu Financial Leasing Co., Ltd. on the US$75m financing for ten chemical/oil products tankers and four general cargo vessels owned by the Yildirim Group.
- Advising Shanghai Pudong Financial Leasing on two sale and leaseback transactions involving the acquisition from, and bareboat charter back to, the Ciner Shipping group in Turkey, of eight bulk carriers.
- Advising Shenzhen Financial Leasing on a direct lease of 10 locomotives manufactured in the PRC for delivery to a Turkish logistics company backed by Chinese ECA SINOSURE.
- Advising Export-Import Bank of China on the refinancing of 4 VLG carriers with a HK listed subsidiary of a state-owned enterprise in PRC
- Advising AVIC International Leasing on the sale and leaseback of crude oil tankers with a US listed shipowner.

- 为深圳金融租赁就向一家土耳其物流公司直接租赁10辆中国生产的机车提供法律服务，该交易由中国出口信用保险公司（SINOSURE）担保。
- 为中国进出口银行就 4 艘超大型液化气船（VLG）与中国某国企在香港上市子公司的再融资事宜提供法律服务。
