James is an Associate in the Projects Group.
James specialises in banking and project finance transactions across the renewable energy sector, acting for banks, investors, sponsors and developers on domestic and international projects.
Since joining the firm, James has worked in the firm’s London, Paris and Bangkok offices.
- Advising lenders on the €488m acquisition and construction financing of Masdar’s 49% shareholding in the 476 MW Baltic Eagle offshore wind farm, located in the Baltic Sea off the coast of Germany.
- Advising a consortium of lenders and hedge counterparties on the £594m debt package for the 1.45 GW (2.9 GWh) Thorpe Marsh BESS project in Yorkshire, UK.
- Advising NatWest and SMBC as lenders on a debt financing and an uncommitted accordion facility granted to Macquarie-backed Eku Energy to finance the construction of its new Ocker Hill BESS project in the West Midlands, UK.
- Advising NatWest and Lloyds Banking Group on the project financing of the Cleve Hill solar and co-located BESS project on the north Kent coast, UK.
- Advising Guardian Metals PLC on its acquisition of a 100% interest in Copper Bay Limited and its copper and gold tailings project in Chile.
