Himesh is an Associate in the Assets and Structured Finance Group.
Himesh supports the team on cross-border asset finance transactions in the aviation and maritime sectors, advising financiers, owners and operators on finance and security documentation. He also advises buyers and sellers on sale and purchase transactions and on commercial shipping matters.
Before relocating to Dubai, Himesh completed his training contract in-house at Borealis Maritime in London and spent time at a City law firm, focussing on banking and finance transactions within the shipping sector.
- Acting for an alternative investment solutions provider and its investment vehicle in connection with a loan facility of up to US$235m, partially refinancing the acquisition cost of up to eight offshore support vessels across the shipping, intermodal and oil and gas sectors.
- Advising a leading asset management firm on the Sharia-compliant Sukuk issuance for the refinancing of a portfolio of seven helicopters leased to a Mexican aviation company.
- Advising a prominent international bank on a US$75m Islamic Murabaha financing extended to a Saudi borrower for the refinancing of existing debt secured against a vessel.
