Haris is a Senior Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group
Haris specialises in ship finance and capital markets. He advises international banks, syndicates of financial institutions and private equity funds on a wide range of transactions, including term loan financings, refinancings, revolving and overdraft credit facilities, sale and leaseback transactions and complex loan restructurings. Haris also regularly represents private and listed shipping companies on transactional matters involving the sale and purchase of second-hand vessels, newbuilding projects and their related financing arrangements.
In addition, Haris acts for issuers in capital markets transactions, including equity offerings and private placements and counsels foreign private issuers on U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission and stock exchange compliance obligations, assisting with regulatory filings and submissions.
Haris joined the firm in 2021 having previously worked for law firms in Greece, Malta and Frankfurt am Main.
He is admitted to practice law in Greece, England & Wales and New York.
- Advising Attica Holdings S.A. on the negotiation of bareboat charter documentation with Stena Bulk International S.Afor two E-Flexer vessels being built by Stena at the China Merchants Jinling Shipyard (Weihai) Co., Ltd with a purchase option.
- Advising the lenders on secured term loan financings for Navios acquisition.
- Advising Danaos Corporation on a US$450m post-delivery senior secured term loan facility to finance eight newbuild vessels.
