George is GLOBAL MARITIME SECTOR HEAd.

George’s practice covers all aspects of transactional shipping, ranging from structured financings, restructurings/work-outs and large-scale debt and asset portfolio transfers to all commercial matters involving joint ventures, charter and management structures, newbuilding programmes and second-hand tonnage.

His clients span the shipping and offshore industries, including financial institutions (banks, private equity investors and hedge funds), shipowners, managers and charterers. In recent years, George has also developed a sizeable sanctions advisory and resolution practice.

George brings a global perspective, having worked in both our London and Athens offices and advising clients across London, Continental Europe, North America and Asia. George has a significant focus on Greek interests, advising both Greek and international stakeholders on their maritime transactions in the region.

George was named in Lloyd’s List’s Top 10 Maritime Lawyers in 2024, one of the most prestigious accolades in the industry.
