George Kalpakidis

George is an Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.

George is qualified in England and Wales, Greece and the Marshall Islands. He specialises in ship finance transactions and acts for Greek and international banks, financial institutions and ship-owning groups in cross-border asset finance transactions.

He advises on a wide range of transactions, including, without limitation, sale and purchase and financing of newbuilding and second-hand vessels, syndicated, bilateral and revolving facilities, as well as sale and leaseback transactions. He has also been involved in the refinancing and restructuring of existing facilities and loan portfolio transfers.

In addition, George advises on Marshall Islands and Liberian maritime and corporate law matters.
