Emma is an associate in the Maritime and Dispute Resolution Groups.

Emma trained at a leading maritime disputes firm and specialises in contentious and non-contentious shipping matters.

She assists in advising clients across the maritime industry, including shipowners, charterers, insurers and bunker suppliers and traders. Emma has a wide range of experience in international arbitration and has assisted on various UK and Singapore based arbitrations. Emma also has experience in English High Court proceedings.

Emma has worked in both London and Dubai and currently assists clients in both jurisdictions.

  • Acting for global subsea cable owners and operators in relation to numerous multi-million dollar damages claims caused by vessel anchors.
  • Acting for sellers in a vessel sale and purchase dispute regarding the condition of the vessel which resulted in LMAA arbitration proceedings.
  • Acting for owners in respect of a significant charterparty claim brought by charterers for losses incurred following delays arising out of COVID-19.
  • Acting for global subsea cable owners and operators in relation to numerous multi-million dollar damages claims caused by vessel anchors.
  • Assisted on the large-scale claims arising out of the casualty of a vessel involving limitation fund proceedings in English High Court and related arbitrations. Assisted the team in acting for the slot charter of the vessel and preparing for court and arbitral hearings.
