Elias is an Associate in the Projects Group in London.
Elias specialises in banking and project finance transactions across the energy sector. He has acted for banks, financial institutions, borrowers and developers on domestic and international projects.
Since joining the firm, Elias has worked in the firm’s London and Singapore offices.
- Advising Rabobank, Santander Corporate & Investment Banking and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg SA as lenders on an up to €500m term, DSR and letter of credit facilities granted to a subsidiary of Amarenco Solar Limited for the financing of a multi-country solar infrastructure project.
- Advising a syndicate of ten banks on a milestone non-recourse multi-currency up to €1.3bn green financing granted to Recurrent Energy, subsidiary of Canadian Solar, for the construction and development of renewable energy projects across Europe.
- Advising a consortium of lenders and hedge counterparties – comprising ABN Amro, China Minsheng, CIBC, Deutsche Bank, Investec, MUFG, NatWest, Nord LB, Santander, Siemens, SMBC, SocGen and Standard Chartered – on the £594m debt package for the 1.45 GW (2.9 GWh) Thorpe Marsh BESS project in Yorkshire, UK. The UK’s National Wealth Fund also provided £200m in equity to the project.
