Duncan MacKenzie

Duncan is an Associate in the Dispute Resolution group.
Duncan advises clients on project-related agreements and claims management strategies. He has acted for principals (public and private), main contractors and consultants in formal dispute proceedings in relation to a range of projects, including transport, power and renewables and commercial/residential/mixed-use development.
Duncan also assists clients with drafting and negotiating agreements. He has previous experience in Australia working at a top tier commercial law firm and as a public litigation lawyer at a State Solicitor’s Office.
- Acting for a contractor in an ICC arbitration in connection with the termination of EPC contracts for a renewable energy project in Africa.
- Acting for a multinational manufacturer (instructors based in Singapore and Germany) in litigation proceedings against an energy company in connection with a supply contract debt for an LNG project in the Philippines.
- Acting for an engineering firm (instructors based in New Zealand) in an arbitration defending against allegations of breach of contract and professional negligence in connection with the design of dam wall structures.
