Johannes advises national and international companies on all individual and collective employment law matters and represents them before labour court.
His practice focusses on the restructuring of companies and the associated drafting and negotiation of contracts and works council agreements, in particular, reconciliation of interests and social plans. In addition, Johannes has extensive experience in the field of international employment law and immigration law.
Johannes is the author of over 80 publications in the field of employment law. He works with the largest legal publishers and, in addition to his legal treatises, also reviews the case law of the highest German courts.
Johannes is also active as a speaker. He regularly speaks at specialist events and at specialist lawyer training sessions.
In 2023/2024 and 2024/2025, he was recognised by Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers as “Ones To Watch” in the field of employment law, highlighting “young lawyers who have distinguished themselves in their young careers through special achievements”.
- Advising the German branch of an international cosmetics company on employment law in the context of a secondment.
- Advising on employment law due diligence for numerous transactions.
- Advising an international company on a plant closure, including the subsequent dismissal protection proceedings.
- Advising an international company in connection with the establishment of a works council and a general works council and subsequent negotiations with both councils on the introduction of a technical device before the conciliation committee.
- Advising an international company on the secondment of executives abroad.
- Advising a large US company on international employee assignments, in particular the application for working visas and residence permits and the drafting of individual contracts for these employee assignments.
- Advising several international companies in proceedings against German authorities in connection with allegations of illegal employment of foreign nationals.

Dr. Johannes Oehlschläger berät nationale und internationale Unternehmen in sämtlichen individual- und kollektivarbeitsrechtlichen Angelegenheiten und vertritt diese insbesondere vor Arbeitsgerichten.
Seine Tätigkeitsschwerpunkte liegen in der Umstrukturierung von Unternehmen sowie der damit einhergehenden Erstellung und Verhandlung von Verträgen und Betriebsvereinbarungen (insbesondere Interessenausgleich und Sozialplan). Darüber hinaus hat Dr. Johannes Oehlschläger umfangreiche Erfahrung im Bereich des internationalen Arbeitsrechts und des Erwerbsmigrationsrechts.
Dr. Johannes Oehlschläger ist Autor von über 80 Publikationen im Bereich des Arbeitsrechts. Er arbeitet mit den größten juristischen Verlagen zusammen und bespricht neben seinen juristischen Abhandlungen auch die Rechtsprechung der höchsten deutschen Gerichte. Darüber hinaus ist Dr. Johannes Oehlschläger auch als Referent tätig. Er referiert regelmäßig bei Fachveranstaltungen und im Rahmen der Fachanwaltsausbildung. Er wurde 2023/2024 und 2024/2025 von Handelsblatt/Best Lawyers als “Ones To Watch” im Bereich Arbeitsrecht ausgezeichnet (“junge Anwälte, die sich in ihrer noch jungen Karriere durch besondere Leistungen hervorgetan haben”).

- Beratung eines international tätigen Unternehmens bei einer Betriebsstilllegung inklusive der anschließenden Kündigungsschutzverfahren.
- Beratung eines international tätigen Unternehmens im Zusammenhang mit der Konstituierung eines Betriebsrats und eines Gesamtbetriebsrats und anschließende Verhandlungen mit Betriebsrat und Gesamtbetriebsrat bei der Einführung von technischen Einrichtungen vor der Einigungsstelle.
- Beratung eines international tätigen Unternehmens bei der Entsendung von Führungskräften ins Ausland.
- Beratung eines großen amerikanischen Unternehmens bei internationalen Mitarbeitereinsätzen, insbesondere der Beantragung von Visa und Aufenthaltstiteln und der einzelvertraglichen Gestaltung dieser Mitarbeitereinsätze.
- Beratung mehrerer internationaler Unternehmen bei Verfahren gegen eine deutsche Behörde im Zusammenhang mit dem Vorwurf illegaler Ausländerbeschäftigung.
