Chananya is a senior associate in the dispute resolution group.
Chananya is a seasoned dispute resolution lawyer with over a decade of experience advising clients on complex commercial litigation and international arbitration. Her practice spans a wide range of matters, including energy (oil & gas), maritime, transportation, construction, real estate, intellectual property and employment law.
Chananya has extensive experience in civil litigation, international arbitration under TAI, ICC, HKIAC and SIAC rules, as well as mediation and the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards and court judgments in Thailand. Her expertise and strategic approach make her a trusted advisor to both domestic and international clients.
Chananya is actively engaged in the arbitration community. She served as the ICC Young Arbitrators Forum (YAF) representative for Thailand (2017 – 2019) and was on the Young THAC (YTHAC) Committee, reflecting her commitment to advancing arbitration practice in the region.
She qualified in 2012 and was admitted to the Thai Bar Association in 2018. Chananya re-joined our Bangkok office in 2016 after completing her Master’s in Law and Economics from the Erasmus Mundus Programme.
- Successfully representing an international arbitration institute in relation to wrongful act claims against the institute’s officials in the Thai court.
- Successfully representing an international construction company in relation to an interim injunction procedure and revocation of the contract claims in the Thai court.
- Advising for an international steel company to enforce an arbitration award at the Central Intellectual Property and International Trade Court.
- Advising a Philippines power plant company in relation to breach of the EPC contracts in the SIAC arbitration proceedings.
- Advising for an international carriage company in relation to cargo damage disputes in the Thai court.
