Annie is an Associate in the Assets and Structured Finance Group.
Annie has extensive experience in asset finance within the maritime sector. She regularly advises PRC leasing companies, lenders and shipowners on a broad range of shipping matters, including sale and leaseback transactions, chartering arrangements, EPCIC contracts for FPSOs, bank loans, shipbuilding projects, mergers and acquisitions of ship-owning companies and the sale and purchase of ships, superyachts and containers.
Annie is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
- Advising a PRC financial leasing company on a long-term lease arrangement involving the EPCIC of a jack-up rig. This transaction was recognised in the Marine Money Deals of the Year Awards 2025.
- Advising a subsidiary of China Merchants Group on its acquisition of minority interests in the vessel-owning companies of eight 174,000 CBM LNG carriers. The LNG carriers are currently subject to lease financing arrangements with three separate leasing houses.
- Advising two PRC leasing companies on the refinancing of a mobile oil production unit through a joint lease structure.
- Advising on a shipbuilding project relating to four offshore construction vessels, including drafting the shipbuilding contract, refund guarantee, corporate guarantee and option agreement.
- Advising on cross-border sales and purchases of superyachts and related matters concerning inspections, exports, imports, insurance and local registration.
- Advising a PRC leasing company on the enforcement of owners' rights and the termination of finance leases with a major European shipping company.
- Advising a Hong Kong-listed company on port acquisition and M&A transactions in Southeast Asia and Brazil.
- Advising the liquidators of a delisted global leisure and cruise company on distressed sales of cruise ships and onboard assets.
