Angelos Michas
Senior Associate Athens
Angelos is a senior Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.
Angelos specialises in asset finance, primarily in the shipping sector. He regularly advises banks, funds and owners on cross-border financing and lease transactions, including debt financings, yacht finance, restructurings and sale-and-leasebacks.
He also acts for shipping companies in relation to the sale and purchase of newbuildings and second-hand vessels.
Angelos joined the firm in October 2022, having previously worked at an international law firm specialising in shipping finance.
Angelos is qualified to practise in Greece, Cyprus and England & Wales.
- Advising EDT Shipmanagement Ltd. on a US$24m sale and leaseback financing transaction in connection with a 91-loa multipurpose platform supply vessel EDT Prometheus (previously named Peridot) (built 2005).
- Advising Credit Agricole Corporate & Investment Bank in its role as facility agent and lender on a US$300m term loan facility granted to Global Ship Lease for the refinancing of ten of its container vessels.
- Advising Globus on a newbuild bulk carrier sale and leaseback financing.
