Ileana is an Associate in the Assets & Structured Finance Group.
Ileana advises on a wide range of shipping and ship finance matters, frequently acting for domestic and international shipping banks, private and publicly listed shipowning groups, and joint ventures. Her practice focusses on matters involving loan and security documentation.
Her experience also includes aviation finance and Islamic finance.
Ileana re-joined the firm in 2021, after having spent 2.5 as an associate in a major New York based law firm and 2 as a corporate legal counsel in a NASDAQ-listed shipping company.
- Represented leader company in the Shariah-compliant leasing industry in a $350 million acquisition of another entity which is a direct lender focussed in the hospitality industry.
- Represented major leasing company in the aviation industry in a $344.7 million public offering.
- Represented major leasing company in the aviation industry in an $800 million aircraft lease ABS securitization (named “Deal of the Year” by Airfinance Journal).
- Represented major airline company in an $1.05 billion offering of enhanced equipment trust certificates (EETCs) secured by new aircrafts.
