HUGUES IS a Senior ASSOCIATE IN THE PARIS OFFICE FINANCE TEAM.

He regularly advises on banking and finance transactions in the transportation (air, sea and land), energy, natural resources and infrastructure sectors. He advises French and foreign financial institutions, investors, export credit agencies, operating lessors, sponsors and project companies and has developed an expertise in structured financing, leasing, export credit and restructuring.

Hugues was named a ‘Rising Star’ in 2023 by leading aviation sector publication Airfinance Journal.

He has worked on award winning deals including Airline Economics’ “Global Lease Deal of the Year 2023”,  Airline Economics’ “European Restructuring Deal of the Year 2023” and Ishka’s “Best European Deal 2022”.

Hugues is graduated from the universities of Abomey-Calavi in Benin (Master’s Degree in OHADA Business Law), Aix-Marseille III in France (Master’s Degree in Economic Law), and the Sorbonne-Assas International Law School in Singapore (LL. M. in International Business Law).

Prior to joining Watson Farley & Williams, Hugues worked for an international law firm in Paris. He is bilingual in French and English.

He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 2015.

Il intervient régulièrement dans le cadre d’opérations bancaires et financières dans le secteur du transport (aérien, maritime et terrestre) de l’énergie, des ressources naturelles et des infrastructures. Il conseil les institutions financières françaises et étrangères, les investisseurs, les agences de crédit export, les loueurs professionnels, les sponsors et sociétés de projet et a développé une expertise dans la structuration de financements d’acquisition, de leasing, de crédit-bail, de crédit export et de restructurations.
