With 69 turbines and a total capacity of 175 MW, the new wind farms will produce circa 450 GWh of renewable energy.
The portfolio comprises the BorWin1, BorWin2, HelWin2 and DolWin2 transmission lines and converter stations, which were the first HVDC systems to connect offshore wind farms to the grid.
This is one of the few holdco financing structures in the German offshore wind market.
The Merkur wind farm consists of 66 GE Haliade 150 turbines with a capacity of 396 MW. The project will save c.18 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent over its project life.
The long-standing and close relations both WFW Germany and Italy enjoy with BEE’s core management team were key to the successful completion of this transaction.
The wind farm, which has a total capacity of 46.8 MW, has been acquired by Marguerite in an all equity deal in June 2017 from Element Power and Karftö Vind.
