Growing to meet client demand
Watson, Farley & Williams celebrated its fifth anniversary in Hamburg in 2010. The firm’s second largest office has quickly developed a strong reputation for its domestic and cross-border client work. After a period of rapid growth the firm recently moved to new premises next to Elbphilharmonie in Hafencity. Along with our Munich office, we now have over 40 lawyers and tax consultants focusing on our clients’ growing requirements in Germany.

The Hamburg office provides specialised services in ship finance, renewable energy, private equity, and real estate as well as offering advice on general banking matters. Our clients include banks, private equity and close end fund houses as well as a wide variety of domestic and international institutional investors. The team provides a fully integrated service combining corporate, finance and tax advice. 

The Hamburg office is recognised by the market for the strength of its advice in a wide variety of practice areas, particularly in private equity where we offer a comprehensive legal and tax service. The Juve Handbuch 2010 describes our Hamburg office as “well established” and cites a competitor describing us as “a well-networked partner”.
