WFW's public law and project finance capability boosted by two new partners in its Paris office

08 Feb 12

Watson, Farley & Williams is pleased to announce the arrival of two new partners to its Paris office. PPP law team Jérôme Pentecoste and Emmanuel Paillard joined WFW together with two assistants, Julie Vuagnoux and Julien Moiroux, from the Paris law firm, Orrick Rambaud Martel.

As counsel for the successful bidders in the Balard and TGI PPP operations and specialists in innovative financing for public projects (such as funding, leasing, and development) the four lawyers will complement the existing public law/regulatory team led by Lucien Rapp and the project finance team led by Laurence Martinez-Bellet and Eric Villateau.

Their experience covers projects ranging from real estate, construction, maritime, rail, and network infrastructure to renewable energy.

In welcoming the two new partners and their team, WFW has increased its capability in its core strengths of structuring complex contractual arrangements and project finance.

Laurence Martinez-Bellet, partner and head of the Paris office comments: “WFW in Paris is well-known for its expertise in project finance and public law. The recruitment of the new partners, Jérôme Pentecoste and Emmanuel Paillard, as well as the two associates adds further strength to the existing team and will allow us to broaden the offering of our PPP and project finance practices”.

Jérôme Pentecoste commented: “I am excited to be joining WFW in Paris. The firm has a strong brand in asset and project finance, particularly energy and infrastructure projects. I am looking forward to working with the existing partners in building on the already solid reputation of the finance team at the Paris office”.

Emmanuel Paillard said: “This is a great opportunity not only to develop our PPP and project finance practice but also to contribute to the synergy between the various WFW teams both in Paris and beyond”.
