January
Italia Oggi features WFW as one of Italy's top 25 growing law firms in 2009.
WFW features in the top half of The Lawyer's list of the top 50 UK firms by turnover with the highest proportion of female partners. We stand at number 23 out of the list of the top 50 UK firms.
February
Double win for Belwind and WFW - Project Finance International Europe Awards 2009 ("Power Deal of the Year") and Project Finance Awards 2009 ("European Offshore Wind Deal of the Year").
March
WFW's football team have reached the final of the London Legal League's premier cup competition.
WFW and Mouchel co-host successful cleantech networking event on March 11th attracting a dynamic mix of over 100 attendees spanning investors and project developers involved in the cleantech industry.
April
Clients vote WFW in GTR's top ten list of law firms for trade finance 2010. WFW ranked at number 7 out of 10, progressing from number 16 in 2009 and number 19 in 2008.

May
WFW hosts 4th annual renewable energy event attracting over 250 senior delegates spanning investors and project developers involved in the sector.
June
WFW announces its results for the financial year ending 30th April. Firm wide revenue was £80.2m, up 9.1% on the previous year (2008-2009) and average profit per equity partner was £448,000, 4.2% higher than last year.
On 19th/20th June Patrick Smith, Sarah Gatley and Melody Cheng from the London office climbed three of the highest peaks in Great Britain to raise funds for the Sailors' Society. The team completed in 10 hours 46 mins and was placed third out of the six teams of lawyers taking part. The event raised over £600,000 for the Sailors' Society.
Watson Wheelers participated in the annual British Heart Foundation's London to Brighton Bike ride 2010 and raised £2000.
WFW achieved an admirable third place (described by The Lawyer as 'bronze medal') in the category of Law Firm of the Year at The Lawyer Awards. This was the first time that the firm has been shortlisted.
July
The Hamburg office hosts an alternative World Cup football tournament with WFW teams from Italy, Germany and England playing for their respective national teams.
WFW ranks number 40 in Legal Week's list of top 50 firms in the UK on the basis of financial performance in 2009-10.
August
On 12 August, colleagues, friends and families of the Bangkok office participated in a charity Mini Marathon to commemorate HM the Queen's 78th birthday. All proceeds after expenses of this event went to the Queen Sirikit Centre for Breast Cancer and the King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital under the auspices of the Thai Red Cross Society.
WFW is shortlisted for Euromoney and Ernst & Young's prestigious Renewable Energy Awards 2010 in their 'Legal Advisor of the Year Award' category on the basis of our deals.
September
WFW has been ranked number 40 in this year's Lawyer UK 200 Annual Report 2010.
Association of Women Solicitors Award Winner: Liz Buchan - Best Woman Solicitor Managing a Large Practice.
WFW London entered a side into the annual Law Society Rugby Sevens at Richmond Rugby Club.

WFW Tax Group is for the first time included in International Tax Review's World Tax 2011 rankings. World Tax Review is a comprehensive guide to the world's leading tax firms and advisers.
Chambers UK 2011 notes WFW for excellence in 'Client Service' in Asset Finance, Dispute Resolution and Energy & Natural Resources. The firm is also noted for 'Commercial Awareness' in Asset Finance.
November
WFW announces its mid-year financial results. Firm wide revenue is £37.6m, up 11% on the same position in the previous year (2009-2010).
December
Specialist aviation and rail finance partners Rex Rosales and Siva Subramaniam joined the firm.
WFW ranked 19th in Hemscott Corporate Advisors' 5th Anniversary Rankings Guide in the category of Law Firms by AIM Clients.
