  • Advising Teekay Shipping corporation on a $2.2bn refinancing deal, to date the largest ever marine refinancing
  • Advising Oceaneering International Inc, quoted on the New York Stock Exchange, on their acquisition of the drill support ROV (remotely operated vehicles) business and associated subsea engineering tooling capabilities from Subsea 7 for US$108m
  • Acting for Golar LNG shipping company in relation to an innovatively structured lease of five LNG carriers
  • Advising Allocean Limited in relation to the establishment of Allco Maritime Finance Pty Ltd in Australia as a $250m shipping fund to invest, through a UK vehicle, in a shipping portfolio (and subsequently advising on the acquisition of specific investments)
  • Acting for Teekay Shipping Corporation in connection with its acquisition of Navion (and associated acquisition financing)
  • Advising Royal Bank of Scotland in relation to loans to finance (pre-and post-delivery) a series of 12 product tankers, four aframax crude tankers and four very large gas carriers all to be bareboat chartered to BP Shipping
  • Acting for Saga Cruises Ltd in connection with the acquisition, from Cunard, of a cruise vessel (and its financing)
  • Acting for Clipper Group in the disposal of the assets of Lasco Shipping Co. LLC
  • Acting for Bergesen in connection with a joint venture with Sonatrach (of Algeria) to own and operate a LNG carrier
  • Advising Nordea Bank, as maritime counsel, in connection with a US$1.1bn loan to refinance the Frontline tanker Fleet
  • Acting for P&O Nedlloyd in connection with the financing of four 7500 TEU containership newbuildings
