  • Metal smelting arbitration - acting in a major London arbitration for one of the world’s largest metal producers concerning a joint venture with state owned metal smelter in an FSU state
  • Westminster Oil & Gas v. ING Barings - acting for the Bank in a US$5m commission claim brought by the Claimant in respect of a US$800m financing for the Cabinda oilfield in Angola. We successfully had the claim struck out.
  • Advising Platina, the venture capital provider of funds to Your Energy Ltd (UK)
  • Acting for Triple Plate Junction plc in connection with its admission to the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange
  • Advising Australian Stock Exchange listed Consolidated Minerals Limited on its secondary listing on the Alternative Investment Market of the London Stock Exchange
  • Acting for Hagura Mining, Zambia's leading mining company, in its multi-million dollar dispute with the government of Zambia.
  • Advising Consolidated Minerals Limited, listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, on its submission to AIM with a market capitalisation of £35 million and the creation of CREST depositary interests
  • Advising the Lenders on a US$20 million limited recourse pre-export financing in relation to the export of copper concentrates from a mine in Mongolia
  • Advising Gold Fields Limited (South Africa) in relation to a joint venture with Freeport McMoran Inc for coal mining interests in Irian Jaya
  • Advising Gencor Limited (South Africa) in relation to the establishment of a nikel exploration, mining and processing joint venture with PT Aneka Tambang and QNI, in Halmahera and Queensland
