ICT
We are passionate about the Information & Communications Technology (ICT) sector, embracing all aspects of IT, telecoms, media and entertainment. Our lawyers are as eager as our clients to get to grips with the next generation of emerging technology. We are dedicated to assisting our clients to shape their futures and adapt to change by providing the highest quality legal services, based upon a combination of technical excellence aligned with commercial awareness.
In this sector, there is a clear need for multi-disciplinary and international legal advice. Many of the exciting new innovations occurring in the marketplace necessitate legal advice that crosses over into related areas of technology. Our international lawyers are specialists in the converging areas of information technology, internet, e-commerce, telecoms, multimedia, media and entertainment law, privacy law and personal protection - pooling knowledge and experience to the benefit of our clients.
Our clients range from domestic and international suppliers through to major financial institutions and users and also includes advising state, governments and international organisations in their policies in the ICT sectors (privatisation, deregulation, restructuring of incumbent operators). Our team can advise on all the core legal and commercial issues – mergers and acquisitions, finance, commercial contracts, content creation and provision, UK and EU regulation, regulatory (including privacy and data protection) and competition law and commercial litigation.
Our ICT Group is known for its command of the crucial and complicated issues that surround business technology and for providing a full service to the sector. We are also able to dissect those issues from both a supplier’s and a user’s point of view and offer advice that makes a real difference for our clients.
