We have a strong reputation for work on projects and project financings worldwide, having built on the firm’s traditional strength in advising on cross-border financings of high value capital assets.
We act for lenders and sponsors as well as offtake purchasers, construction contractors, host governments and local authorities. Most recently, we have developed a thriving practice advising private equity funds on the financing of energy project acquisitions throughout Europe.
We provide advice on:

- The financial and technical aspects of projects
- The risk allocation and mitigation mechanisms required to complete a limited recourse financing
- The political, legal and commercial environments within a wide range of host countries taking into account the underlying business issues and risks

The core project finance team is based in our London office working with team members from our European offices in Paris, Rome, Madrid, Piraeus and Hamburg, our Asian offices in Singapore and Bangkok and our New York office. We are therefore able to cover projects almost anywhere in the world with an integrated approach that brings a global perspective and creativity to the successful development and financing of complex projects.
Our transactional expertise and sector knowledge has also enabled us to develop a thriving practice in project litigation and dispute resolution where we have acted for developers and lenders on major arbitrations under documentation related to power and oil and gas projects and assets.
