DISPUTE RESOLUTION
  • Acting in an LCIA London arbitration in a US$ 85m dispute on behalf of a Canadian owner/operator and two state owned Asia Oil & Gas companies in relation to a central oil and gas operating platform fabricated in Vietnam and commissioned offshore in the Malaysian oil field.
  • Advising a Japanese/American/Vietnamese joint venture company in relation to an Engineering services contract for an offshore oil production complex in a multi-million dollar arbitration dispute subject to English law and SIAC Rules.
  • Representing two Thai public companies in US$ 250m and US$ 35m ICC arbitration references arising under contracts for the construction and erection of two separate power plants in Thailand firing biomass fuel.
  • Acting for a Thai public company in three ICC Arbitration references against the largest maker of fine paper in the world arising out of a US$ 80m investment. The seat of the arbitrations is in Singapore and the governing law is Thai law.
CORPORATE and Commercial
  • Representing a US venture capital firm in its acquisition of a Thai property fund, including a US$ 94m loan through Lehman Brothers.
  • Advising an international consortium in a private-public partnership to develop a series of infrastructure projects with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration.
  • Representing the sponsors of four biomass power plants in Thailand, including equity and project finance.
FINANCE
  • Representing an Indian public company in a US$ 150m convertible bond issuance through Merrill Lynch to finance a tender offer to acquire a listed Norwegian company.
  • Representing a listed Thai company in a US$ 250m revolving credit facility from a syndicate of international lenders and a US$ 300m credit facility from a Thai bank.
  • Advising a Thai company on the restructuring of a US$ 60m convertible bond issue.
