Renewable Energy Experience
- Advising Matrix on 21 UK limited liability partnerships on their participation in a €1.13bn wind farm portfolio refinancing, involving the sale of four LLPs with windfarm projects in Germany, the reorganisation of lease and finance arrangements for 16 LLPs with wind farm projects in Italy and the prepayment of mezzanine finance provided by another LLP
- Advising the Viridis Clean Energy Group on its acquisition and financing of a 60 MW portfolio of thirty-five landfill gas power projects in the UK for a total enterprise value of £108m
- Advising Plambeck Neue Energien AG on the sale to Babcock & Brown of 30 German wind farms totalling 300 MW to be constructed between 2006 and 2008 with a transaction volume of ca €400m
- Advising BNP Paribas as lenders counsel in relation to a portfolio financing of wind farm assets in Germany where the Enertrag Group are the borrowers
- Advising A.T. Biopower in connection with the development of Thailand’s largest non-captive biomass power plant
- Project counsel for Eclipse Energy Company Limited on the Ormonde offshore hybrid gas and wind generation project, involving two gas fields to generate 90 MW and a wind farm to generate 108 MW in the UK
- Advising Keydata Income VCT Plc on the structuring, acquisition, financing and project documentation of a series of investments in the UK renewable energy sector
- Advising Investec on the equity and debt investment in three wind farms in Greece
- Acting for Fred.Olsen Renewables Limited (project sponsors and the lessees), Rothes Wind Limited and Paul's Hill Limited, in the first UK wind farm tax lease and project financing of approximately £70m of a 50.6 MW wind farm under construction in Rothes, Scotland and a 64.4 MW wind farm to be constructed at Paul's Hill, Scotland. This deal won the ‘European Renewable Deal of the Year 2004’ from Project Finance Magazine
- Advising a Hamburg based closed end fund sponsor on a solar farm acquisition/development in Spain
