Pro Bono
While there is no formal legal pro bono scheme in place, several of our lawyers (senior and junior) provide legal advice to members of the local community through Toynbee Hall Free Legal Advice Centre. Our lawyers provide advice on such diverse issues as immigration, housing and debt.
We have recently signed up to support the Sutton Trust which, in partnership with The College of Law, actively targets talented young people from non-privileged backgrounds to increase their educational opportunities. This is delivered through its Pathways to Law initiative. We will be offering a group of young people careers advice, mentoring and training with the aim of combating educational inequality and encouraging them to consider career choices (such as law) appropriate to their interests and aptitude.
For many years WFW has been a member of the City Solicitors Education Trust, a charity of City Law firms which provides financial support to law faculties in the UK.
