Watson, Farley & Williams first opened for business in London in May 1982. Today approximately half of our staff – nearly 300 – are based at our office on Appold Street, in the heart of the capital’s financial centre.

Like our clients, we recognise the importance of evolving to meet new challenges and opportunities. The lawyers in our London office have experience in helping clients across a wide range of industries including our principal sectors of finance and investment, maritime, energy, natural resources, transport, real estate and ICT.

We focus on providing effective, commercial legal advice in corporate, finance, tax and regulatory matters as well assisting clients in the areas of dispute resolution and employment.

The style and quality of our work in London is recognised by many independent bodies. Chambers UK 2011 for example, recommends the firm for client service and commercial awareness and describes lawyers in the London office as possessing the “ability to unpick the tightest legal knot” – Legal 500 UK 2010 describes our partners providing a “level of service that is first class”.

The London office won International/Cross Border Law Firm of the Year and Maritime Law Firm of the Year at the Corporate INTL Awards 2010 and Shipping Finance Law Firm of the Year at Jane's Transport Finance Awards 2010.
