CSR is a valued element of our business strategy and, within it, we embrace the fundamental principles that we adopt within our general business, namely integrity, ethics, excellence and teamwork.  As a law firm with offices in many countries around the world, we recognise that CSR means different things in different countries and we allow our employees freedom to incorporate these principles into their working lives in ways which are appropriate within their respective jurisdictions.

Our CSR Policy
Our CSR policy is two-fold: internal and external.  Many companies focus on developing their external environmental and social policies.  Whilst we believe we have a responsibility to look after the environment and the communities in which we operate, we also believe that a responsible business should take care of the people who make the business possible.

Our 3 top priority lines of action are:

1. Environment;
2. Community; and
3. Charity

Environment: We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and adopting sustainable practices. We will promote awareness of climate change and the potential impact of our activities on global environmental stability and we support and encourage all activities which reduce this impact.

Community: We will invest in our employees and the infrastructure and the facilities of our firm to provide our employees with a safe, pleasant and fulfilling workplace.  We will achieve this through a commitment to training and developing our staff; to providing equal opportunities and encouraging diversity across the firm.  We will be cognisant of our ability to assist the communities in which we operate and will channel our resources into initiatives which will benefit those around us.

Charity: We will encourage charitable giving and provide our employees with the ability to make tax-efficient donations to charity directly from their salary. The firm will, if appropriate, match or make a significant donation to those charitable events in which employees participate. The firm also supports clients in their charitable activities.
