Wolfram is a Partner in the Corporate Energy & Infrastructure group of Watson Farley & Williams in Hamburg.

He specialises in national and international M&A transactions, joint ventures and project development, with a focus on project and corporate law advice in connection with finance transactions.

Recent transactions include strategic M&A deals in the energy and infrastructure sector, such as the acquisition and financing of onshore and offshore wind farms in Germany and other European countries, the acquisition and sale of companies active in the energy industry, the development, acquisition and sale of conventional power plants and grid infrastructure projects as well as joint ventures in the energy production and transmission sector. He also advises regularly on plant construction contracts.

His clients include financial investors, utilities, banks and project developers.

As HR Partner in Germany, Wolfram is responsible for the recruitment activities of the German offices.

    • Blue Elephant Energy AG on its acquisition of a 20 MW wind farm in Italy from European Energy Group.
    • Liacon GmbH, a German company that develops and produces high performance energy storage systems, on a convertible bond.
    • A French infrastructure investor on a joint venture with a German IPP.
    • A consortium of banks consisting of KfW IPEX-Bank, Natixis, Santander, CIBC, Commerzbank, Helaba, National Bank of Canada, Rabobank, Société Générale and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation, as lenders on the €988m financing of the Deutsche Bucht offshore wind farm project.
    • PNE WIND AG on the two-step sale of PNE’s shares in its 142 MW wind farm portfolio to a fund managed by Allianz Global Investors GmbH.
    • German project developer on the development of a waste-to-energy power plant in Northern Germany.
    • EWE ERNEUERBARE ENERGIEN GmbH on its acquisition of TurboWind Energie GmbH, a wind farm developer based in Hannover.
    • STRABAG OW EVS on the sale of the Albatros offshore wind farm project to EnBW and the Global Tech 2 offshore wind farm project to Vattenfall.
    • German utility on the acquisition of a German project developer and service provider group.
    • A consortium of international banks on the financing of the 400 MW offshore wind farm Veja Mate in the German North Sea with a total financing volume of €1,275bn.
    • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on its €384m investment in the new offshore grid connection DolWin3 for North Sea wind farms, which will transmit wind energy from the North Sea to German customers.
    • PNE WIND AG on the sale of Gode Wind I, II and III, one of the largest offshore wind farm project portfolios in Germany to Ørsted.
    • A German project developer on the development of closed cycle gas power plants.
    • An international consortium of lenders led by Dexia Crédit Local and KfW IPEX on arranging project financing of the German offshore wind farm project Meerwind, with a total capacity of 288 MW and a total investment volume of €1.2bn.
    • Union Investment, a German fund manager, on various acquisitions of onshore wind farms in Germany and Ireland.
    • PNE WIND AG on the sale of seven onshore wind farms with a total capacity of 53 MW to EnBW Erneuerbare Energien GmbH.
