Ravinder is a Partner in the firm’s Energy & Infrastructure group in London. Ravinder specialises in domestic and international corporate and corporate finance transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, equity fundraisings, group reorganisations, joint ventures and regulatory matters.  Her practice focuses on transactions in the energy (both renewable and conventional) sector. Ravinder has particular experience of advising on the sale of UK offshore transmission assets as part of the OFTO tender process run by Ofgem.

Experience Open

    Ravinder’s experience includes advising:
    • Burbo Extension Ltd, a consortium of Ørsted A/S (previously DONG Energy A/S), Danish pension provider PKA and KIRKBI A/S, on the sale of transmission assets valued at approximately £193m to Diamond Transmission Partners BBE Limited pursuant to the OFTO regime.
    • Vattenfall on its acquisition of UK gas and electricity supply business ISupplyEnergy.
    • PKA, one of Denmark’s leading pension funds, on its acquisition of a 50% stake in the Teesside Renewable Energy Plant in the North East of England. The investment bank Macquarie Capital holds the remaining 50%, and the total investment in the plant anticipated to be in the region of £900m.
    • DONG Energy on its sale of a 50% stake in the 258 MW Burbo Bank Extension UK offshore wind farm project to Danish pension provider PKA and KIRKBI A/S, parent company of the LEGO Group.
    • A joint venture between DONG Energy A/S and the UK Green Investment Bank plc and Marubeni Corporation on the divestment of transmission assets of the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm, as part of the OFTO tender round 3 process run by Ofgem, to Transmission Capital Partners, the consortium comprising International Public Partnerships Ltd, the listed infrastructure investment company, Amber Infrastructure and Transmission Investment.
    • DONG Energy on the £644m sale to Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) of a 25% undivided interest in the unincorporated joint venture established in relation to the London Array offshore wind farm project.
    • Velocita Energy Developments on its divestment of the Maerdy onshore wind farm project in South Wales to Greencoat UK Wind.
    • DONG Energy and ScottishPower on its divestment of the transmission assets of the West of Duddon Sands, as part of the OFTO tender process run by Ofgem.
    • DONG Energy on its divestment of the transmission assets of the Walney I, Walney 2, Barrow and Gunfleet Sands offshore wind farms, as part of the OFTO tender process run by Ofgem.
    • DONG Energy on its acquisition of the 800 MW Severn gas-fired power station project in Wales and the power engineering business Carron Engineering & Construction from Welsh Power Group.
    • WHAM Energy Plc on its takeover by Venture Production Plc, effected by way of a scheme of arrangement.
    • Technip on the sale of Perry Slingsby Systems, the manufacturer of remotely operated vehicles and other subsea equipment, to SCF Partners.
    • A syndicate of banks on the corporate aspects of the financing of the acquisition by Tallink of the Silja Line ferry business from Sea Containers.
    • Kenexa Corporation, the US employment services group, on its acquisition of Quorum International Holdings Ltd.
    • A French electronics manufacturer on its acquisition of a UK electronics manufacturing business.
