He specialises in project & structured finance and advises on national and international project, corporate and acquisition finance transactions. Recent transactions include project financings and M&A deals, such as the acquisition and financing of onshore and offshore wind farms in Germany, France and Scandinavia, the acquisition of companies active in the energy industry and the acquisition and financing of photovoltaic plants in Germany and France. Furthermore, he advises private equity funds and corporations on the financing of M&A transactions as well as with re-financings and corporate financings.

    Pascal’s experience includes advising:

    • A consortium of international banks, consisting of Banco Santander, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank, KfW, KfW IPEX-Bank, Natixis and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation on the financing of the offshore wind farm project ”Veja Mate” (400 MW) with a financial volume of more than €1bn.
    • Tank & Rast group in connection with its sale to a consortium formed by Allianz Capital Partners GmbH, Borealis Infrastructure Management Inc., Infinity Investments SA (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority), and MEAG, Munich Re (Group)’s asset manager.
    • Tank & Rast group, a leading provider of German autobahn service stations, on their refinancing. The refinancing consisted of a Senior Facility, Senior Second Lien High Yield bond and a PIK facility.
    • Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale, NORD/LB Luxembourg S.A. Covered Bond Bank and Sparkasse Osnabrück on the financing of the acquisition of medien holding:nord gmbh and Medien- und Beteiligungsgesellschaft mbH by Osnabrücker NOZ MEDIEN.
    • A banking consortium consisting of Nord LB, KfW IPEX, Société Générale, DEXIA and EIB on the financing of the offshore wind farm project “Global Tech I” with a total capacity of 400 MW with a financial volume of more than €1bn.
    • 4WHEELS group on its €40m corporate financing.
    • HSH Nordbank on the financing of the onshore wind park “Silovuori“ with a capacity of 26.4 MW.
    • Joh. Berenberg, Gossler & Co. KG and KBC Deutschland AG on the financing for the acquisition of Aqua Vital Quell- und Mineralwasser GmbH by Halder Beteiligungsberatung GmbH.
    • Tank & Rast group on the conclusion of a five-year agreement aimed at considerably expanding the existing cooperation between McDonald’s Deutschland and Autobahn Tank & Rast GmbH by opening more than 100 new McDonald’s restaurants in suitable locations along the motorway network.
    • Muncipal utility ewz, Elektrizitätswerk der Stadt Zürich, and Aquila Capital on the acquisition financing of 29 wind energy plants with a combined capacity of 60 MW from the listed Swedish wind farm developer, Eolus Vind AB.
