Experience Open

    Patrick’s experience includes representing:
    • A private manufacturer Claimant for alleged breaches of contract arising out of a tri-partite contract for the manufacture and supply of a paper-making machine where the claimed damages exceeds US$50m dollars (HKIAC arbitration seated in Hong Kong; Hong Kong procedural and Chinese substantive law).
    • A publicly listed Thai company in disputes with a Hong Kong company relating to claims exceeding USD$500m for breach of various exclusivity obligations, brought under 21 references in front of a sole arbitrator in London (ad hoc arbitration, English law, 15-day hearing).
    • Representing an international airline in multiple disputes involving, among others, US, UK and Thai law claims for breach of contract; one dispute resulted in the successful settlement of all claims and payment to the client.
    • Represented a private hospitality consultancy in a dispute relating to the management of a luxury hotel in mainland China resulting in the successful settlement of all disputes and a substantial payment received by our client.
