She is based in Singapore and specialises in asset finance transactions with a particular focus on shipping. Katie joined the firm in 2011 as a trainee solicitor, working in the firm’s London, Piraeus and Singapore offices, before moving to the Singapore office on qualification in 2013. In 2016 Katie completed a five month secondment with the ship finance team in an international bank in Singapore.

    • Advising an international syndicate of lenders, led by an international Dutch bank, on the $110m re-financing of six accommodation barges flagged in St. Vincent and the Grenadines with various offshore deployments across West Africa and subsequent amendments to and pre-payment of the facility.
    • Acted for a syndicate of international lenders in respect of the re-financing of seven Indian flagged offshore support vessels.
    • Acted for an international lender in connection with a $67.5m post-delivery loan for the acquisition of three Singapore flagged newbuild oil tankers and subsequent pre-payment of the facility and discharge of security.
    • Acted for an international lender in connection with a $28m post-delivery loan facility for the acquisition of two British flagged newbuild bulk carrier vessels.
    • Advising an international lender in connection with the re-financing and re-flagging of an Indian flagged platform supply vessel.
    • Acted for an international lender in connection with a re-financing of three Italian flagged container vessels.
    • Acted for an international lender in connection with a re-financing of nine Singapore flagged container vessels.
    • Acted for a syndicate of lenders on a Chinese leasing transaction which re-financed the acquisition of eight bitumen tanker vessels flagged on the Marshall Islands and Maltese flags.
    • Advising an international lender in connection with a re-financing of three South African flagged bunker barges.
    • Acted for an international lender on a loan facility to finance two Marshall Islands newbuild chemical tankers.
    • Acted for an Australian bank on four separate loan facilities, two of which were ECA backed, to re-finance the acquisition costs of bulk carriers on the Panamanian and Singapore flags.
