Hamid’s practice spans the full range of real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and financings. He advises owners, investors, developers, landlords, lenders, borrowers, non-profits and hedge funds in a diverse range of real estate transactions.

Hamid’s experience includes leasing of Class-A office space, acquisitions and dispositions of a variety of commercial real estate, including development sites, office buildings, shopping centers, mixed-use properties and development sites.

Hamid has extensive experience of construction lending and is actively engaged in representing both lenders and borrowers in multimillion dollar loan restructurings and forbearance agreements. He has particular expertise in EB-5 (investor visa) lending and has also developed an expertise in riparian rights and lands underwater.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Hamid worked in the construction industry, gaining hands-on experience of site development. He utilizes this experience to add particular value to developers and investors operating in this segment of the market.

    Hamid’s experience includes:
    • Advising Sumitomo Corporation of Americas in the acquisition and disposition of office buildings across the United States, including in Florida, California and Chicago, IL.
    • Advising a US$33bn dollar hedge fund, as tenant in connection with leasing office space at various Class-A properties within the Tri-State Area.
    • Advising St. Catherine of Siena Church in a multi-layered development project with Sloan Kettering Institute of Cancer Research, in connection with the development of a condominium and laboratory research facility located at 411-415 68th Street, New York, NY.
    • Representing a large storage company in its acquisition and developments of various storage facilities located on environmentally challenged land throughout the Tri-State Area.
    • Advising the Shubert Organization in the acquisition of commercial real property in Glen Rock, NJ and representation of client in leasing and subleasing NYC retail and office space.
    • Advising an Arby’s restaurant franchisee owner in the financing and acquisition of property in Long Island, NY.
    • Representing international investors in their purchase of high-end residential NYC real estate, including One57 and The Setai Towers.
    • Advising one of the largest private nursing home owners in the United States in its acquisition, disposition and financing of nursing home portfolios across the U.S.
    • Advising a major NYC Landlord in its office leasing of Class-A properties in Manhattan, including buildings located at WTC site.
    • Representing a Fortune 500 company in various riparian rights issues presented in clearing up title to land formerly underwater in Queens, NY.
    • Representing a Fortune 500 company in various billboard license agreements within the Tri-State Area.
    • Advising First Republic Bank in acquisition, project and construction loans to developers in New York City.
    • Advising a New York Immigration Fund in EB5 lending to hotel, office and residential developers within the Tri-State Area, including The Knickerbocker hotel.
