Delphine is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Asset Finance group.

Delphine joined Watson Farley & Williams in 2002 as a Trainee Solicitor. She advises major banks and financial institutions and shipping companies incorporated in a wide range of jurisdictions on all aspects of shipping finance transactions including loan transactions, structured finance, complex restructurings, portfolio transfers and intercreditor arrangements. She also advises both buyers and sellers on sale and purchase transactions and other commercial shipping matters. Delphine has spent time working in our Piraeus and Paris office.

Experience Open

    Delphine’s experience includes:
    • Advising China Exim on a bilateral loan of up to US$328.4m made available to Frontline, the world’s largest tanker group, to finance four 111,000 dwt LRII tankers and four 157,500 dwt Suezmax tankers being built in China by New Times Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.
    • Advising China Exim on a bilateral loan, with Sinosure support, of up to US$321.6m made available to Frontline, the world’s largest tanker group, to finance four 111,000 dwt LRII tankers and four 157,500 dwt Suezmax tankers being built in China by New Times Shipbuilding Co. Ltd.
    • Acted for ABN AMRO Bank NV (with Nordea London and SEB as other lenders) on a US$172m loan facility to Ardmore to provide post-delivery financing for eight newbuildings (MR2 tankers, MR1 tankers and chemical tankers at SSP Shipholding, Hyundai Mipo and Fukuoka).
    • Acted for Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank on a US$250m term loan facility to d’Amico Tankers to refinance seven MR product tankers and finance five LR1 product tankers newbuildings with facility guaranteed by d’Amico International S.A.
    • Acted for Nordea Bank Norge ASA on a US$139,750,000 syndicated term loan facility for SCF Tankers to assist SCF in its acquisition of nine ships from Prisco following successful auction bid by SCF.
    • Advising EBRD on a $21m loan to Saltwater Bulk Shipping Ltd (Cyprus) guaranteed by Sea Brotherhood Holding Ltd (BVI), York Shipping Ltd (BVI), Litten Investments Ltd (Cyprus), Balas Ventures Ltd (BVI), Roxolo Holding Ltd (Cyprus) to finance two Maltese ships owned by First Brother Shipping Company Ltd and Ocean Brother Shipping Company Ltd and related amendments to the original facility agreement.
    • Advising EBRD on a $40.176m loan to three Maltese incorporated ship owning companies guaranteed by Sommet Finance Limited (Cyprus), SVL Activ Trading Limited (Jersey), SVL Commodities Limited (Jersey) to finance three Maltese ships and related amendments to the original facility agreement.
    • Advising EBRD on a $5.7m loan to Interorient Marine Services Limited (Cyprus) to finance various maritime projects. The first being the financing of a concession agreement regarding the use, management, operation and exploitation of the container terminal in the port of Limassol, Cyprus.
    • Acted for ABN AMRO Bank NV on a US$19.5m loan facility to the d’Amico group to refinance m.v. “CIELO DI GAETA”.
    • Advising Entrust Permal in relation to a $34m loan facility to the Eurotank group for the financing of four Ships.
    • Advising Amsterdam Trade Bank in relation to a £30m loan facility to the Zenith group.
    • Advising ABN Amro in relation to a $34m loan facility to the Nautica Bulk group.
    • Assisting an investment funds in purchasing part of the shipping loan portfolio of a major German bank.
