Daisy qualified as a solicitor in 1999 and joined Watson Farley & Williams in 2011. She is a Partner in the Energy & Infrastructure group in London.

Daisy specialises in advising sponsors and lenders on all aspects of project financed transactions in the energy and natural resources sectors. She has experience in advising on conventional, Islamic and ECA backed financings, mezzanine lending and M&A in the renewable and conventional power sector and on financing and debt capital markets transactions in the natural resources sector.

Experience Open

    Daisy’s experience includes advising:
    • Sequoia Investment Management on the project financing of a 55 MW solar portfolio located in Poland. This transaction is the first large project financing under the newly implemented auction support systems in Central-Eastern Europe.
    • Institutional investors on a £1.3bn investment-grade bond in relation to the acquisition by leading Danish pension funds PKA and PFA of a 50% stake in 659 MW Walney Extension offshore wind farm from Ørsted (formerly DONG Energy). The deal is valued at £2bn, of which £1.3bn is being funded through the issuance of the bond.
    • BayernLB on the financing of a portfolio of UK solar PV projects owned by Luxcara GmbH.
    • DIF on the acquisition of the 26MW Wadlow onshore wind farm in Cambridgeshire. The project company, Wadlow Energy Ltd, is financed by British retail and commercial bank, Lloyds.
    • Cubico Sustainable Investments on all three phases of its UK renewables portfolio financing provided by National Australia Bank.
    • The equity arm of a commercial bank on its acquisition of investment in, and disposal of, a number of UK solar and onshore wind projects.
    • Private equity funds on a mezzanine financing for the acquisition of a UK onshore wind farm.
    • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on its acquisition of a non-controlling interest in a portfolio of onshore windfarms in the UK.
    • Deutsche Bank with ongoing advice post-financial close in relation to the Beckton biofuel CHiP plant in London.
    • GDF Suez in respect of its ongoing investment in the Heron II gas-fired power plant in Greece.
    • Lenders and ECAs in connection with the financing of the Barka 3 and Sohar 2 gas-fired power plants in Oman.
    • Lenders and ECAs, JBIC, NEXI and the mandated lead arrangers in connection with a bid for the Sur gas-fired power plant in Oman.
    • A mining company as a creditor in respect of deferred consideration in connection with the financing of a mine in Spain.
    • Great Western Minerals Group in connection with its convertible bond issue in relation to its rare earths mine in South Africa.
    • Standard Bank and other lenders and DFIs in connection with the Lumwana copper tailings project in Zambia.
    • Deutsche Bank and Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank in relation to a Coface-supported loan facility of US$73m for Axion Energy Argentina SRL in order to finance a turn-key extraction and sulfur processing unit project in Argentina.
