Charlotte is a property lawyer who deals with all aspects of commercial property, including sales and purchases, commercial lettings, development work and secured lending.

Since joining WFW in 2007 Charlotte has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in the energy sector, advising clients (both developers and funders) in relation to the property aspects and land agreements required for onshore and offshore wind projects, solar parks, waste sites and LNG pipelines, including advising where required on the documentation to be entered into with the Crown Estate.

    Charlotte’s experience includes advising:
    • DONG Energy on the relevant land agreements and Crown Estate documentation for the 172 MW Gunfleet Sands Offshore wind farm.
    • DONG Energy on the Crown Estate Agreement for lease and form of lease required for the Westermost Rough offshore wind farm.
    • Vattenfall on the property aspects of the OFTO process, including negotiating various land agreements required for the Thanet Offshore Wind Farm.
    • Vattenfall on the property aspects of the OFTO process for the Ormonde Offshore Wind Farm.
    • A major bank on the land agreements in place for various solar parks in the south west of England.
    • Greune Energien on template documentation for a solar farm developer, including negotiating option agreements and leases for various projects based in the south west of England.
    • A major bank on the property documentation in place for solar parks and single turbine onshore wind sites, including negotiating and agreeing a certificate of title for reliance by the bank and considering bankability issues in the lease.
    • A major bank on the property documentation in place for various portfolios of solar parks, (both ground mounted and rooftop sites), including negotiating and agreeing a certificate of title for reliance by the bank and considering bankability issues in the lease.
    • PNE Wind on the land agreements required for a proposed onshore wind farm in Wales.
    • Port Meridian in relation to the real estate aspects of the project, including negotiating the onshore land agreements and the Crown Estate documentation required for the Port Meridian deep water port LNG terminal.
