Charlotte is a Senior Associate in the firm’s Asset Finance group.

She joined Watson Farley & Williams as a trainee in 2003 and qualified in 2005. Charlotte specialises in asset finance, leasing and shipping transactions focusing on the maritime sector and has advised on loan facilities, leasing arrangements, restructurings and portfolio transfers. She has extensive experience in acting for both lenders/financiers and borrowers/owners in secured lending transactions relating to various types of vessels. Charlotte has spent time working in our Singapore, Piraeus and Paris offices.

    Charlotte’s experience includes:
    • Acting for ABN AMRO Bank on US$51.66m facility to be made available by ABN and CBA to d’Amico Dry Limited to finance four DWT 63,800 bulk carrier new buildings under construction at Yangfan.
    • Advising ABN AMRO on US$66,285,714.24 facility to 2 Hong Kong subsidiaries of Delphis N.V. to finance acquisition of two container vessels built at HHIC-PHIL INC.
    • WFW London and New York acted as Maritime counsel and English counsel on a New York Law based bond and term loan financing.
    • Advising Credit Suisse on US$57m facility to Delphis NV to finance acquisition of two container vessel newbuildings from HHIC-PHIL Inc. chartered to MOL.
    • Advising Golar LNG Ltd with regard to the early termination by Petrobras of its time charter of LNG floating storage and regasification unit Golar Spirit.
    • Acting for Credit Suisse AG on a US$122,518,125 loan facility to Carras Ltd, comprising an $82,518,125 revolving credit facility and a $40m term loan facility, with the revolving credit facility for general corporate purposes and secured by mortgages on six capesize bulkers with the term loan to finance up to four additional ships to be acquired by Carras.
    • Acting for Danish Ship Finance on US$64,820,000 loan facility to d’Amico Dry Ltd guaranteed by d’Amico International S.A. to finance four DWT 38,670 bulk carrier newbuildings under construction at Yangfan.
    • Acting for ING Bank NV on syndicated US$340m loan facility to Euronav NV to refinance four suezmaxes, finance acquisition of four VLCCs from Maersk and for general corporate purposes.
    • Acting for National Chemical Carriers Ltd. Co. on a US$249,600,000 Tawarruq facility with Riyad Bank for the pre and post-delivery financing of six chemical tankers.
