Experience Open

    • Advising an online betting business with the closure of their entire call centre operation, which involved relocating operations from being home to office based. This involved collective redundancy in the UK. In addition, this also required the relocation of call centre staff based in Spain, the Netherlands and Gibraltar and resulted in the execution of severance terms.
    • Advising and acting on behalf of a respondent auctioneer company in relation to an unfair dismissal, breach of contract, race and sex discrimination claim and counterclaim.
    • Advising and acting on behalf of an individual claimant in relation to a large sex discrimination and equal pay claim against a global utility provider.
    • Advising a transportation company in relation to a major reassignment of their business headquarters from the UK to Switzerland and, at the same time, relocating other parts of their finance and technical operations to the Philippines and Brazil. The nature of the relocation also necessitated early disclosures to the bank without comprising their collective consultation obligations in the UK.
    • Advising and acting on behalf of a major insurance company in relation to Judicial Mediation proceedings, arising from the refusal of a flexible working request and an indirect sex discrimination claim in the Employment Tribunal.
    • Advising senior employees of major investment banks in relation to discretionary bonus awards.
    • Defending a major shipping company in the Employment Appeal Tribunal, against whistleblowing and breach of contract claims brought against its former Strategy Director.
    • Advising and acting on behalf of individual appellants in relation to immigration proceedings, including in the Court of Appeal.
    • Advising in relation to the points-based immigration system.
