Ahmad is a Partner in the International Corporate group of Watson Farley & Williams in Hamburg and Munich. He specialises in corporate law, mergers & acquisitions, private equity and joint ventures.

Ahmad has broad experience in advising financial and strategic investors on M&A projects. His legal advice includes structuring and planning of the transaction, performing and managing due diligences as well as drafting and negotiating the relevant contractual documents and post closing restructuring.

Moreover, Ahmad leads the Iran Practice Group of Watson Farley & Williams. He advises along with an international, interdisciplinary team clients in all aspects of market entry in Iran, including efficient corporate and tax structuring of investments, investment protection, Joint Ventures, formation of local companies, all kinds of operational agreements, financing, dispute resolution, sanctions and compliance. Ahmad is regularly on the ground, fluent in Farsi (speaking and writing) and conducts Iran- workshops/-conferences. Ahmad ensures with his expertise and deep knowledge of the country that both international market standards and local law aspects are met.

    • A group of German investors on a venture capital investment in Iranian start-up Azki.com, a new online Iranian insurance comparison platform where users can rate, comment on, compare and purchase products from providers.
    • A group of German investors, led by Nordwind Capital GmbH and Dr Hans Albrecht, on their participation in Iranian start-up ChapAgha.com.
    • European companies from various industries (amongst others, infrastructure, automotive, pharmacy) on market entry in Iran.
    • Various European developers in connection with planning and constructing of photovoltaic projects and windfarms in Iran.
    • Capcellence group on sale of shares in Gardeur group (oldest German trouser brand), Mönchengladbach.
    • HSH Private Equity GmbH on the acquisition of Kundo SystemTechnik GmbH, an energy consumption meters production company.
    • The Chemring Group, a global leader in the production of pyrotechnical products, on sale of its marine unit to Drew Marine.
    • Munich based KGAL on the acquisition of various onshore wind farm portfolios in Germany and France.
    • Parcom Deutsche Private Equity on the acquisition of Westfalia-Automotive, a provider of towbar-based transportation solutions including towbars, wiring kits and cycle carriers.
    • Zurich municipal electric utility, ewz, on the acquisition of a minority share in the 288 MW offshore wind farm “Butendiek” in the German North Sea.
    • Granville Baird Funds on the sale of Team BS Management Holding GmbH, a temporary employment agency, to Randstad Deutschland GmbH & Co. KG.
