Anthi Kekatou is a Senior Associate in the Asset Finance group.
Her main area of practice is ship finance representing a number of first class international banks and financial institutions lending into the shipping market with experience in the Greek shipping market in particular.
Anthi has advised on both bilateral and syndicated finance arrangements with cross border elements in relation to both secondhand and newbuilding vessels, bond finance, loans to joint ventures and various export credit backed finance arrangements including Korean ECA and Chinese ECA backed loans. She has also advised on numerous restructuring arrangements and problem loans.
Anthi obtained her LLB in Law from the University of Staffordshire in 2002 and in 2003 she obtained her LLM in Maritime Law from the University of Southampton. Anthi joined Watson Farley & Williams Athens office in March 2015, having previously worked at Norton Rose Fulbright Greece since 2006 and trained at Stephenson Harwood previously. Anthi is qualified both as a solicitor in England & Wales and as a Greek attorney.
Anthi had been working in the English law Asset Finance team in our Hamburg office and was involved in several loan transactions to the German shipping market. Anthi is now working in the Asset Finance team in our Athens office. She specialises in ship finance acting for banks and other financial institutions to the Greek shipping market.
