Alexander is an Associate in the London Energy & Infrastructure group. He trained at Watson Farley & Williams in 2011 and qualified as a solicitor in 2013. He specialises in banking and finance transactions, acting for and advising sponsors and lenders on their loan and security documentation. Since joining Watson Farley & Williams, Alex has worked in the firm’s London and Singapore offices and has also been seconded to a commercial bank, a solar developer and an AD developer.

    • Deutsche Bank in relation ongoing matters in connection with the Beckton Waste to Energy Power Plant including advising on the refinancing and restructuring of the financing arrangements.
    • A joint venture between Qila Biogas Ltd and Ingenious Infrastructure in connection with the project financing of a portfolio of biogas plants for the generation and export of biomethane.
    • Cubico Sustainable Investments on the second phase of its UK renewables portfolio financing provided by National Australia Bank. A further seven projects (solar feed-in-tariff projects) have now been introduced to the portfolio, bringing the total portfolio capacity to over 120 MW.
    • PKA in relation to the legal review of the PPA ahead of its acquisition of a 50% stake in the Teesside Renewable Energy Plant.
    • Royal Bank of Scotland Plc in the provision of a post-construction re-financing for a portfolio of 16 solar projects.
    • Investec Bank Plc on the provision of an acquisition financing loan to Ingenious Clean Energy for the purchase of two solar project companies.
    • Velocita Energy Developments in the preparation of the seller friendly DD report in respect of the Maerdy and AOE onshore wind farms.
    • The Royal Bank of Scotland Plc in the provision of a loan agreement to Banks Renewables for the construction of Heysham South Wind Farm.
    • Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners on its acquisition of a non-controlling interest in a portfolio of onshore windfarms in the UK.
