WFW strengthens its German finance practice with the hire of HSH Nordbank head of credit law Dr. Klaus Schmid-Burgk

Watson, Farley & Williams (“WFW”), a leading international law firm, is pleased to announce that it is further expanding its finance offering in Germany. From 1 October 2012 Dr. Klaus Schmid-Burgk of HSH Nordbank AG will join WFW.

Working as a senior consultant, Dr. Klaus Schmid-Burgk will be part of WFW’s asset finance practice and will contribute significantly to the further expansion of the practice in Germany.

Dr. Schmid-Burgk practised as a lawyer at HSH Nordbank AG in Hamburg for 27 years and was head of credit law in the legal department for ten years. Dr. Schmid-Burgk’s work encompasses all types of financing, with a specific focus on ship and aviation finance. He is also author of several banking and insolvency law publications and a frequent speaker on these topics.
