WFW strengthens business services with two senior promotions22 June 2017

International law firm Watson Farley & Williams has made two senior promotions in its Business Services leadership team.

Sam Marchant is promoted to Director of Global Business Development, a team which has expanded over the last two years, as the firm moves forward with its plan to provide sophisticated Business Services support across its network of 14 offices worldwide.  Sam has over 15 years’ experience in business development and has been co-head of the Global Business Development team for the last two years.

Rippan Vig, formerly co-head of Business Development, has been promoted to a newly created position as Director of Client & Strategic Development, a role which will see her focussing on developing and implementing the firm’s strategy, particularly towards further integration and increased client focus.  An ex-lawyer, Rippan’s move is testament to the firm’s commitment to providing strategic leadership across its business.

Chris Lowe, Managing Partner, said: “We are delighted to welcome Sam and Rippan to their new roles and are confident they will continue to build on the achievements they have already realised in their tenure with the firm to date”.

Joint Managing Partner Lothar Wegener commented: “Sam and Rippan’s new roles are indicative of the firm’s continued commitment to realising our strategy to be a sector specialist law firm in Transport, Energy and Real Estate and building the quality and size of our practice groups to realise that”.
