International law firm Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) has been ranked the number one legal adviser by deal volume in the renewables sector worldwide in Infradeals’ well-regarded Q1 2016 Project Finance and Advisory Rankings.
Specifically, WFW was ranked:
DONG Energy Wind Power’s divestment of its 50% shareholding in the holding company owning the rights to the Burbo Bank Extension offshore wind farm in Liverpool Bay, on which WFW acted as lead adviser to DONG, was also highlighted by Infradeals as one of the key renewables and UK deals of Q1 2016.
This follows on from topping Inspiratia’s Q1 2016 global legal adviser rankings for renewables in the infrastructure sector earlier this month, in which WFW also came fourth worldwide overall.
London partner and Global Head of the Energy & Infrastructure sector Evan Stergoulis commented: “This is yet another great result for WFW’s energy and infrastructure practice following an absolutely stellar start to 2016, and once again reinforces WFW’s status as the leading law firm for renewable energy transactions worldwide”.
